Where to Eat in Siargao: A Foodie's Guide to the Island

For a small island, Siargao eats remarkably well. Over a hundred places line Tourism Road and the Cloud 9 strip alone — from ₱100 Filipino canteens to fine dining — plus cafés, ramen bars, taco joints, and beach bars scattered across the island.

Siargao mornings run on good coffee. Kawayan Gourmand is a French bakery near Cloud 9 doing proper pastries, while Pwesto Cafe and Greenhouse Café cover full breakfasts on Tourism Road.

Closer to the break, Hale Aloha feeds the early surf crowd, and Shanti Shanty is a reliable café-and-bakery stop any time of day.

For the local stuff, Bayani at Harana does Mindanao-influenced dishes and seafood, and Pare's Paresan is the cheap, popular spot for pares and rice meals.

Also worth a stop: Cantina Luna and Azuete for grills and inasal, and Sugba for Filipino barbecue and seafood.

Wood-fired and hearty: Kermit Surf Resort & Restaurant is a long-running favourite for pizza, pasta, and wine, and Trattoria Altrove turns out Neapolitan-style pies.

For Italian with a view, the restaurant at Kalinaw Resort mixes Italian and French plates near Cloud 9.

The island's Asian options are strong. Beach Ramen and Hakata Ramen handle the noodle cravings, Drunken Sushi does sushi, and Gangnam Kitchen brings Korean barbecue and hot pot.

For something with spice or smoke: El Chapo's covers tacos, while Meze Grill does Turkish kebabs.

On the Spanish side, Alma and Secreto serve tapas worth lingering over with a drink.

Surf-town wellness food is everywhere. Buonana, Sibol, and Sanabowl do vegan plates and smoothie bowls, and Shaka near Cloud 9 is the go-to for açaí bowls between sessions.

For a bigger night out, Lyma does French-Spanish fine dining, and Roots at Kaimana Resort is the island's farm-to-table spot — expect ₱2,000+ per head and book ahead.

End the day on the water. Fin & Fin is a go-to sunset spot near Cloud 9, while Last Chance and BARREL handle cocktails and later nights.

Carry cash. Many smaller spots are cash-only, and ATMs in town run dry — withdraw in General Luna or Dapa.

Book the big ones. Fine-dining spots like Roots and Lyma fill up in peak season; reserve a day or two ahead.

Base yourself well. Most of this is in or near General Luna and Catangnan, so staying there keeps you close to the best of it.
