Shanti Shanty Café Siargao

Shanti Shanty is a small sourdough bakery and cafe on the Dapa to General Luna road, tucked away from the Tourism Road crowds. The bread is the reason to come: fresh sourdough loaves and baguettes baked daily, along with croissants and a cinnamon roll with a hint of chai spice that regulars rave about. Coffee is made with a local bean blend, and there are homemade milks, kombucha, and fresh coconut too.

On the food side, the veggie sandwich and toasties get a lot of love, built on that rustic bread. Seating is on the floor with pillows on an open-air balcony, with netted hammocks along the edge, so it's a place to settle in with a book or some work rather than grab and go. Prices are fair and it's cash only.

It's open Tuesday to Sunday, mornings through early afternoon, and works best as a relaxed breakfast or an afternoon coffee-and-bread stop. Come early if you want the pick of the loaves, since they sell out.
