Siargao for Couples: A 5-Day Honeymoon Itinerary

Siargao is not a resort-bubble honeymoon island, and that's exactly its charm for couples. Days here are built from small shared things: a motorbike ride down a palm road, a boat with nobody else on it, a table in the sand as the light goes soft.

It suits couples who'd rather do things together than be waited on side by side. If your ideal week is a swim-up bar and a spa schedule, look elsewhere. If it's salt, sunsets, and a bit of adventure with good dinners in between, this plan is yours.

Five days is the sweet spot. Here's how to spend them.

Book somewhere with a pool and a bit of design. The villa tier around General Luna and Malinao runs from boutique rooms to private-pool villas, and even the top end costs a fraction of comparable islands. Kalinaw and Siargao Bleu lean romantic; Malinao or Sta Fe's smaller places trade scene for quiet.

Browse places to stay in General Luna and pick for the two of you: walkable-to-dinner in town, or beachfront calm ten minutes out.

Land, check in, and rent one motorbike, not two. Riding together is half the romance of this island. Point it at the palm-lined stretch near Maasin before golden hour and take the photo everyone takes, because it's worth taking.

Close the evening on the Cloud 9 boardwalk as the sun drops behind the palms, then eat somewhere easy on Tourism Road. Sort the bike ahead of time so day one starts rolling.

The tri-island trip runs on shared boats, but couples should charter private. It costs more, around ₱3,000 to ₱4,500 for the boat against ₱1,500 each to join a group, and buys you Naked Island before the crowds, a slow lunch on Daku, and Guyam close to yourselves.

Ride west to Del Carmen and take the boat through the mangroves to Sugba Lagoon. Rent one paddleboard between you and take turns, or a clear kayak if you'd rather sit together. Jump off the platform at least once each; the photos take themselves.

Back in town, book the big dinner: Lyma for French-Spanish fine dining, or Roots for the island's farm-to-table table. Reserve a day ahead in season.

Sleep in. Late breakfast. Then time the afternoon around low tide at the Magpupungko Rock Pools, the island's best swimming hole and a genuinely fun couples stop: clear pools, small jumps, and the odd photographer's mushroom rock.

Roll home via the Maasin River rope swing if the day still has light in it, and end at a beach bar in Santa Fe for the island's most reliable sunset.

Do the thing you loved most, again. That's the honest day-five plan. Surf lesson together at Jacking Horse if you never got to it, a last boardwalk walk, a slow lunch, and a flight out with sand still in your bags.
