Sinag Snack Bar is the café at the front of Sinag Hostel on Tourism Road in Catangnan, General Luna, a few minutes from Cloud 9. It opened in July 2024, built by the women-led team behind the hostel to give slow island mornings a home, and it feels more like eating at a friend's house than at a restaurant. Locals, hostel guests and surfers off the water all end up at the same wooden tables.
The menu mixes Filipino and international comfort food with a healthy lean. The plate everyone photographs is the blue rice, topped with butterfly pea flowers and served with a fried egg and grilled meat, alongside fresh juices and smoothies. Coffee runs from espresso and Americano to the house Sinag Latte and Kape Tablea, made with Filipino cacao.
Open from 9am Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays, with most plates under ₱500. The compound runs on Starlink, so the wifi holds up for a work session. Come after an early surf, when the kitchen is at its busiest and the coffee is most welcome.
