About

Kurvada is a buffet-style carinderia on Tourism Road in Purok 3, General Luna, and one of the busier budget spots on that stretch. The format is point-and-plate: you look over the day's spread, tell the staff what you want, and they load your plate before you sit down. It built its name on generous servings of fresh, local cooking at good prices.

The food leans toward grilled skewers and Filipino home cooking: pork and chicken sticks, chicken legs, chicken adobo, and grilled vegetables, alongside satay with nasi goreng. The sides are where it stands out, with kinilaw, pomelo salad, and rotating daily specials, plus solid vegan and vegetarian options most days. Smoothies and cold coconuts round out the lighter end.

Lunch runs from about 10:30am and dinner from 5:30pm, Monday to Saturday, with the kitchen closed on Sundays. A full plate is around ₱150, though prices have crept up and can reach ₱350 depending on what you take. It's cash, casual, and no reservations. Arrive near opening for either service, when the spread is fullest and everything is freshest.
