Kanaloa is a tiki-bar-style beach spot just outside General Luna, known for grilled skewers and a sunset position that makes it worth the short ride from town. The food plays second to the setting here, skewers, grilled items, and drinks that suit the spot, but the grill is competent and the portions don't disappoint.
The setup is deliberately social, with long communal tables, open air, and a bar built for groups rather than solo dining. It's more fun with five people than with two, and better at the right time of day than on any random evening.
That time is sunset, when the position and the tiki aesthetic line up in a way that makes it one of the more photographed spots around General Luna. Arrive around 5:30pm to stake out a spot facing the water before the crowd peaks, and go with the grilled skewers.
