Isla Cusina is the restaurant at Isla Cabana Resort in General Luna, one of the area's quieter corners. The kitchen runs a wide menu from 6am to 10pm, covering proper breakfast, daytime snacks, and a dinner menu that takes seafood seriously. The tuna tataki is clean and lightly seared with sesame, the nasi goreng comes out properly fried, and the pan-seared salmon is done well.
The brick-oven pizza has built a following of its own, beyond the usual resort-dining crowd. The setting is open and unhurried with gardens in view, and it has a resort feel without the resort markup.
For travellers staying elsewhere, it's worth the short walk off the main road for a quieter, more composed meal. The pizza takes a little longer than other dishes, so order it first and let it arrive when it's ready.
