Buonana is a small vegan nice cream shop in General Luna town, a short stroll from the start of Tourism Road. There is no dairy here: ripe bananas are frozen and churned into soft serve, there is an acai version too, and both get piped into coconut shell bowls and piled with toppings. Inside it is a tiny, cold, air-conditioned room with a counter and a few seats, plus a bench out front for watching the street.
Order the banana and acai twist so you get both bases. The Nutty Gritty bowl, with granola, almonds, fresh banana and the shop's own peanut butter, comes up again and again in reviews, and the tropical sundae with mango and the vegan dark chocolate have their fans. There are also frozen banana pops dipped in chocolate or matcha. The banana base tastes properly ripe, so if you prefer a milder flavour, go heavier on acai.
It is open daily from 10:30am to 9pm. Bowls ran about ₱210 to ₱350 in recent years, with extra toppings charged on top. There is no toilet on site. If you avoid gluten, ask them to swap the granola for fruit, because the granola is not gluten-free.
