Salamandas is the main restaurant at Coco Grove Beach Resort in Tubod, San Juan, reached through the resort's Gate 3 off the Circumferential Road. It sits right on Tubod beach, looking out over the marine sanctuary, with a dining room of wicker chairs and solid wood tables plus thatched gazebos set on the sand. It is the resort's sit-down room, with a long TripAdvisor following.
The menu runs across Filipino, Asian and European plates with daily seafood specials. Grilled mahi-mahi with rice and salad, tomato bruschetta, Mongolian beef and the Thai curries come up most in reviews, and the mango cheesecake, mango crepes and buko shake are the sweet finishes people name. Breakfast is a set at ₱550 in 2026: a Filipino or international plate such as tocino, corned beef or longganisa, with a hot drink, a cold drink and fruit. Mains are big enough to share. Some nights bring a beach barbecue with a band and fire dancers.
It is open daily from 6am to 10pm, with breakfast until 10am, and Google puts spend at ₱500 to ₱1,000 a head. Non-guests need a reservation, and recent reviewers mention a ₱300 per person minimum spend for walk-ins, taken off the bill. The beach loungers are for hotel guests. Call the resort a day ahead and ask which night the barbecue and fire show are on.
