Kape de Guyod is a specialty coffee shop on the Circumferential Road in Solangon, San Juan, directly across from Monkey Business. The cafe is upstairs, up a fairly steep staircase, with an air-conditioned room inside and a small open-air terrace. It is a regular stop for travellers after a properly made espresso.
The coffee is the draw. Spanish lattes, oat milk lattes and the hot coconut cappuccino come up most, with matcha lattes and a peach iced tea for non-coffee drinkers. Oat and coconut milk are available at extra cost. The bakery side has croissants, pain au chocolat and cinnamon rolls, plus generous sandwiches on good bread, a ham and cheese croissant and a French toast that recent reviewers rave about. The staff are friendly and happy to share island tips, and the WiFi is fast enough for a few hours of work. A generator keeps things running through the island's frequent brownouts.
Google lists it open daily from 8am to 9pm, though a few visitors found it opening late. Prices sit at the top end for Siquijor: an iced double Americano was ₱150 and a mini pain au chocolat ₱100 in 2026. Cash is easiest, as QR payments carry a ₱10 surcharge. Go mid-morning, when the pastries are fresh.
