Aroi Makmak Thai Station is a Thai cafe and restaurant on the Circumferential Road in Maite, San Juan, a short walk from Marco Polo. The front looks modest from the road, but walk through and there is a terrace right above the water facing west, and the sunset view comes up in more reviews than any dish. Inside there is an air-conditioned room with Thai murals, and a couple of resident cats.
Khao soi gai, the northern Thai curry noodle soup, is the dish regulars name first, followed by massaman beef curry, tom yum soup, pad thai and a tom yum fried rice. Mango sticky rice is the dessert to order, and the calamansi tart and a dark chocolate cake have their fans too. Thai milk tea, fresh juices and fruit shakes cover the drinks. Spice levels vary from dish to dish, and there are milder options if you ask, so tell the staff how hot you like it. Plates come out neatly presented, and the service team gets named and thanked in a lot of 2026 reviews.
It is open daily from 8am to 9:30pm, later than many places nearby, and Google puts spend at ₱500 to ₱1,000 a head. Arrive by 5pm to get a terrace table before the sunset crowd.
