Tuason is a heavy, technical left a stone's throw from Cloud 9 that switches on for advanced surfers at 4 to 6 ft. You'll find three peaks, and an occasional fourth right behind the cliff, ranging from playful to flat-out gnarly. Mid to high tide. Tuason is best with more water.
How to get there
From General Luna, follow Tourism Road toward Cloud 9, then turn right toward Harana Resort (or left if you're coming from Catangnan). Follow the dirt road to the left to a narrow path that leads straight to the beach. Parking is available, please be mindful of residential and business areas. You can paddle out through the channel in front of the path, or walk up the beach to the cliff and paddle out over the reef. Cloud 9 and Quicksilver are the neighbouring breaks if Tuason isn't working, and the Cloud 9 / Catangnan strip nearby has surf schools, board rentals, cafés and bars. General Luna's full spread of stays and food is a short ride south.
