Stimpy's is the reliable one, a consistent left that fires from October through February when northeast swell meets offshore west-southwest wind for clean, glassy walls. What to look for before you commit to the boat fare
Swell direction
Northeast swells of 3-10+ft.
Wind direction
Best surfed with a Northwest offshore wind, but it can also be a great option during North or Northeast winds when other spots are blown out.
Tide
Low to mid tide. Stimpy's can work on high tide but too much water make it hard to catch.
How to get there
Stimpy's is boat-access only, usually from next to Kanaway Surf School in Catangnan: about a 15-minute ride, roughly 300 PHP per person (minimum two passengers typical). The boatman waits or surfs and brings you back, and the fare covers around a two-hour session. It's right by Rock Island, so check both before deciding, and you can eyeball the crowd from the Catangnan Bridge beforehand. Launching from Catangnan puts you near the Cloud 9 strip: surf schools, rentals, cafés and bars all close, with General Luna a short ride away.
