Surf guide
Stimpy's is the reliable one, a consistent left that fires from October through February when northeast swell meets offshore west-southwest wind for clean, glassy walls. Fifteen minutes offshore from Catangnan, it rolls from a tame take-off into rides long enough to make the boat fare laughable, and when it's big it throws proper barrels. It scales beautifully: 2 to 3 ft is mellow longboard fun, 4 to 6 ft brings long walls with barrel sections, and 8 ft+ turns heavy and expert-only. The gentle drop makes it a brilliant wave to push yourself on as it builds. It spreads a crowd across three sections, so pick your peak and read the lineup, and here's the local trick: count the boats from Catangnan Bridge before you commit. Shortboard once it walls up, longboard or fish on the small days, step-up for the barrel days. Hazards to watch: a large rock sits on the inside and shows at low tide, know where it is. The 8 ft+ days pack serious power, the three peaks get busy enough for drop-ins, and it's boat-access only with no facilities at the wave. Where it fits: the natural step up from Cemetery and Salvacion, and a good rehearsal for Rock Island on the next reef over. One useful detail: Stimpy's is one of the few spots that still works in north and northeast winds, so it is often the answer on the days the Cloud 9 side is blown out. Etiquette: with three sections and a crowd spread across them, lineup awareness is everything. Pick your peak and stay in it rather than drifting between them, do not drop in, and do not paddle straight to the deepest spot on arrival. Sort your boat and pickup time before you go so you are not rushing the boatman at the end.

Best surfed with a Northwest offshore wind, but it can also be a great option during North or Northeast winds when other spots are blown out.

Low to mid tide. Stimpy's can work on high tide but too much water make it hard to catch.

A great wave for intermediate surfers who want to challenge themselves when the swell picks up. The takeoff is somewhere between Tuason and Cemetery.

How to get there
Stimpy's is boat-access only, usually from next to Kanaway Surf School in Catangnan: about a 15-minute ride, roughly 300 PHP per person (minimum two passengers typical). The boatman waits or surfs and brings you back, and the fare covers around a two-hour session. It's right by Rock Island, so check both before deciding, and you can eyeball the crowd from the Catangnan Bridge beforehand. Launching from Catangnan puts you near the Cloud 9 strip: surf schools, rentals, cafés and bars all close, with General Luna a short ride away.
