Seabuds is a plant-based café on the beachfront of San Juan Surf Resort at 238 Urbiztondo, right on the main surf beach, with the orange umbrellas of the beach-mat rentals lined up in front. Surfers and remote workers have made it a regular stop for years, and it's the easiest all-vegan meal on the strip.
Smoothie bowls are the headline. The Summer Day (banana, strawberry, mango, coconut and chia) and the Funky Monkey are the ones people return for, alongside Azul, açaí and strawberry bowls, and one bowl easily feeds two. For something savoury there are vegan tocino, tapa and longganisa rice plates and sourdough toasts, plus brownies and banana bread. The ube latte and iced salted caramel coffee have their own fans. Seating runs across two floors: the upper deck is breezier and looks straight over the water, and there are sockets and WiFi if you need to work.
Seabuds is open daily from 8AM to 7PM. The Summer Day and Funky Monkey bowls were about ₱350 each in 2025 and 2026, and most people spend under ₱500. Payment is cash or GCash at the counter. Popular bowls can sell out, so come early, order everything in one go and carry it upstairs before the midday heat.
