Sabong is a fried chicken counter inside The Great Northwest Travel Stop on the National Highway in Urbiztondo, in the same complex as El Union Coffee and a short walk from the beach. It takes familiar Filipino flavours and puts them on big, crunchy plates of chicken.
The Honey Bagoong is the one to try: three pieces glazed in sweet shrimp paste, with kare-kare sauce for dipping and smoked eggplant salsa. Korean Soy comes with gochujang mayo and charred creamed corn, the Szechuan Style is dry-rubbed and not actually spicy, and the Elyu Original gets a garlicky homemade ketchup and hand-cut fries. There's also a Chick'n Burger, boneless meals including a sinigang sa batuwan version, and buckets for groups. You order at the counter, and food usually comes out fast, even at dinner.
Google lists it open 11AM to 9PM on Monday, Thursday and Friday, from 10AM on weekends, and closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Mains were ₱370 each in 2026 reviews. Portions are generous, so two people can share a plate, but ask for extra rice since one serving rarely stretches.
