Kabsat is a big two-storey restaurant and bar right on Urbiztondo Beach in San Juan, a short walk up the sand from Flotsam & Jetsam, with tables facing the surf and daybeds set out on the sand. It's where groups come for a long Filipino meal with the sea in front of them, and the second floor has the best sunset view.
The food is Filipino and served family-style. Kare-kare with big chunks of beef, sinigang, sisig, buttered chicken, stuffed squid, grilled tuna panga and shrimp in crab fat are the dishes that come up most, and the larger plates feed three or four. Happy hour cocktails pull a crowd in the late afternoon. Printed menus are scarce, so staff may ask you to photograph the one at reception, and food can take a while when the place is full.
Google lists it open daily from 8AM to midnight, and most people spend ₱500 to ₱1,000 each. Several 2026 reviewers say it's cash only, so bring enough. Daybeds on the sand carried a ₱3,000 minimum spend in early 2026. Arrive around 5PM to get a beach-facing table for sunset, or by 10:30AM to beat the lunch rush.
