Irugi Coffee is a neighbourhood specialty coffee shop in its own small building inside Arbor Village, Barangay Maria Cristina, San Juan, a short drive north of the Urbiztondo strip and close enough to the shore that you can hear the waves outside. It sits on a residential lane, so a visit feels more like dropping by a friend's place than stopping at a highway café.
The signature drinks are why people make the detour. Wanderland, a silky iced shaken espresso, the Kori Kohi and the cloud brew are the house favourites, with the banana crème brûlée latte, sticky date latte, almond caramel with dates, cocojam latte and a press-o-tonic for something sweeter or brighter. Matcha and affogato round it out. The food is small and well done: ube and cheese French toast, the Prosciuttoast, spinach roll-ups and a PB&J. Inside is air-conditioned, with vinyl records on display, seats with sockets and a couple of resident cats.
Irugi is open daily from 8AM to 4PM and takes cashless payment. The Wanderland was ₱205 in 2026, and most visits come in under ₱500 a head. Weekday mornings are the quietest. The café is tucked inside the village, so follow your map pin on the final turns, then ask the baristas to steer you to a drink.
