Curo is the all-day restaurant inside Curbside Villa in Urbiztondo, roughly a kilometre inland from the surf beach. You come in past tropical gardens and koi ponds to an open, earthy dining room that feels more like a Bali villa than a surf-town café.
The Curbside Breakfast, a big plate of cheese sausage, bacon, egg, pancake and pesto tomato, is the morning order, and the congee has its own fans. Later in the day it's the beef short plate, pompano with buro, and mixed seafood or truffle pasta, with Spam chips and the Curbside Curo-quettes to share. Save room for the molten chocolate cake or the cheese tart, and try the mango nata shake. Portions are big, the room isn't air-conditioned but stays airy, and mellow music plays in the background.
Google lists it open daily from 7AM to 9PM. Recent menus put the breakfast plate at about ₱360 and the short plate at ₱680, and cards are accepted. It takes no reservations on weekends and holidays, so lunch waits of 10 to 30 minutes are common. Go on a weekday or before noon, and use the guarded parking if you're driving.
