The restaurant at Awesome Hotel faces the beach at 319 Eagle Street, Montemar Village, in Ili Norte, about ten minutes north of the Urbiztondo surf strip and a short walk off the highway. Outside diners are welcome: go through the main entrance to the beachfront dining room, which looks across the infinity pool to the sea.
The menu runs from charcoal-grilled seafood and meat platters to Asian dishes like pad thai and a homemade chicken biryani, plus Filipino fusion plates such as paella-stuffed squid, adobo overload and lengua estofado. Sushi and maki are a long-time draw with returning guests, and steak sandwiches and burgers cover anyone who wants something simple. Hotel guests praise the breads at breakfast, and the lobby café makes a good coffee. Seating is split between an indoor room and the poolside terrace, where the sunset is the main event.
The hotel says the restaurant is open 24 hours, with the full menu until 9:30PM and a limited late-night menu after that. Starters ran ₱320 to ₱850 on the hotel's posted menu in 2025, so it sits at the upper end for San Juan, though reviewers say the service makes up for it. There's ample parking, and outside food and drinks carry a corkage fee. Book a terrace table for late afternoon and share the grilled seafood platter as the sun goes down.
