What types of listings can I create?

Last updated: September 18, 2026

Koobo supports three listing types. You can run more than one, and many hosts do.

Properties

Accommodation of any size: villas, hotels, hostels, resorts, guesthouses, private rooms and whole houses.

Commission is 12% of the booking price.

Guests filter by location, dates, price, bedrooms and facilities, so the more accurately you complete those fields the better your listing surfaces.

Activities

Anything a guest books to do: surf lessons, island-hopping trips, land tours, diving, yoga, wellness, workshops and transfers.

Commission is 17%.

Activities live or die on clarity about what is included. Meeting point, duration, group size, what to bring, what is covered and what is paid on the day.

Rentals

Vehicles and equipment: motorbikes, scooters, cars, and gear rented by the day.

Commission is 17%.

State clearly what licence a guest needs, whether a deposit applies, and whether you deliver. Photograph the actual vehicle rather than a stock image.

Which applies to you

Usually obvious, but a couple of edge cases:

  • A resort that also runs tours should list the accommodation as a property and each tour as a separate activity, not bundle them.
  • An airport transfer is an activity, not a rental, because you are providing the driver.
  • A surf camp that includes accommodation and lessons can be listed either way. Talk to us about which fits your pricing better.

All three share the same rules

Accurate descriptions, current availability, a cancellation policy you choose, payment through the platform, and a business permit before payouts.

Unsure where yours fits?
