What documents or information do I need to start?

Gathering these before you start makes listing a half-hour job rather than a week of back and forth.

Identity

A valid government-issued ID. We may also ask for proof of address or a live identity check, and for evidence that you have the right to offer what you are listing, such as proof you own or manage a property.

Business permit

Required before Koobo can release any payout to you. This is a condition of hosting, not an optional extra, and it is part of how the marketplace stays legitimate.

Any licence your service needs

Beyond a general business permit, your particular operation may require more. Tourism accreditation, vehicle registration and insurance for rentals, or certification for activities such as diving. You are responsible for holding and maintaining whatever applies, and we may ask for evidence.

Bank details

An account held in your name or your business's name, which you are authorised to use. Koobo cannot pay into a third party's account. All payouts are in Philippine Pesos.

For the listing itself

  • Photographs. The single biggest driver of whether your listing converts. Daylight, horizontal, showing the actual space or vehicle.
  • A description of what you offer and who it suits.
  • Location details, with a landmark. Siargao addresses are imprecise and a map pin alone often is not enough.
  • Pricing, with your own tax obligations built in.
  • Availability for the coming months.
  • House rules or requirements, including anything a guest must bring or show.
  • A cancellation policy.

Practical advice

Photograph in good light before you start writing. Most hosts underestimate how much difference this makes, and it is the thing most often rushed.

Have documents ready as clear, legible files. Blurred photographs of permits and names that do not match the account are the two things that hold up verification.
