Your host dashboard is where the whole operation runs.
Listings
Create new listings, and edit existing ones: description, photographs, pricing, rules, requirements and cancellation policy. Most edits go live straight away.
Calendar
Open and block dates, see confirmed bookings, and sync a channel manager such as Hospitable. This is the part that needs weekly attention. A stale calendar is what causes double bookings, and those force host cancellations.
Bookings
Upcoming, in progress and past, with dates, guest details, the price breakdown and payout status for each.
Messages
Your threads with guests, tied to each booking. Set an automatic message per listing to handle the questions that arrive every time.
Payouts
Your balance, the status of each payout, and the breakdown showing commission and any tax deducted. Payouts are generally initiated the first Saturday morning after a booking completes.
Settings
Bank details, verification documents, business permit and contact information. Keep these current: an expired permit or stale bank details can hold up a payout.
What you cannot do alone
Change a confirmed booking. A booking is an agreement with the guest, so a change to dates, guest numbers or price needs both of you to agree and is processed through the platform.
Raise the price on a booking already taken. Confirmed bookings are locked at what the guest paid.
Cancel without consequence. You can cancel, but it triggers a full refund to the guest regardless of your policy, and may result in a review marker, financial penalties or suspension. Contact [email protected] before cancelling rather than after.
A sensible routine
Calendar weekly. Messages daily while you have guests. Pricing each season. Everything else when something changes.
