Quick start checklist

Last updated: September 18, 2026

Work through this in order and you will be live and bookable.

Before you start

  • Government ID
  • Business permit
  • Bank account in your name or your business's name
  • Any licence your specific service requires
  • Photographs, at least five per listing
  • Your pricing and the dates you are available

Setting up

  1. Create your account, or add hosting to the one you already use.
  2. Choose your listing type: property, activity or rental.
  3. Write the description. Specific, honest, written for someone who has never been to Siargao.
  4. Upload photographs. Daylight, horizontal, strongest one first.
  5. Set your price, working backwards from what you need net of commission and your own tax.
  6. Open your calendar, far enough ahead that people planning trips can book.
  7. Choose a cancellation policy.
  8. Add house rules and requirements, including anything a guest must bring or show.
  9. Upload your documents for verification.
  10. Add your bank details.
  11. Submit for approval. Most listings are reviewed within a few working days.

Once you are live

  • Set an automatic message for each listing. It handles the questions that come every time.
  • Check your calendar weekly, and block dates the same day you take a booking elsewhere.
  • Reply to messages quickly, especially before booking.

When your first booking arrives

Send arrival details two or three days ahead. Prepare properly. Check in once during the stay. Those three things prevent most bad reviews.

Getting paid

Payouts release after a booking completes, generally the first Saturday morning after checkout, typically within 1 to 7 days, then up to 14 days for the bank transfer. Commission is deducted automatically at 12% on properties and 17% on activities and rentals.

The three that matter most

An accurate calendar. Honest photographs. Quick replies.
