How do I update photos?

Last updated: September 18, 2026

You can add, remove and reorder photographs on a live listing whenever you like, from your host dashboard.

The order matters

Your first photograph is what appears in search results. It is the only thing most guests see before deciding whether to look further. If your listing gets views but few bookings, changing the lead image is the first thing to try.

Put your strongest, most representative shot first. Not a detail shot, not a logo, not a collage.

When to update

  • After a renovation, repaint or new furniture
  • When you replace a vehicle or equipment
  • When seasonal conditions change how the place looks
  • If a review mentions that something looked different from the photographs

Shooting good ones

  • Daylight, mid-morning or late afternoon. Avoid harsh midday sun and single-bulb interiors at night.
  • Horizontal. Listings display in landscape, so vertical phone shots get cropped.
  • Lights on, curtains open. Interiors here photograph darker than they look.
  • Tidy first. Thirty seconds of clearing up beats any amount of editing.
  • The real thing. The actual room, the actual scooter. Never stock images.

Editing

Light correction is fine. Heavy filters, wide-angle distortion that makes rooms look larger, and anything that removes a real feature are not. A guest arriving to something noticeably smaller or shabbier than the photographs is a refund request in progress.

How many

At least five, ideally ten to fifteen, covering everything you mention in the description.

What this affects

Only new bookings. Guests who have already booked keep the terms they booked under, though updated photographs will show in their booking details.

Rentals in particular

Photograph existing damage and keep those images current. It establishes the condition before a guest took the vehicle, which protects you if there is a dispute about damage afterwards.
