Can fees change?

Last updated: September 18, 2026

Yes. Koobo can adjust its fee structure over time, as the platform grows and costs change. What we commit to is that you will not find out after the fact.

How changes are communicated

If we introduce a new fee or change an existing one in a way that materially affects hosts, we give reasonable advance notice before it takes effect. That notice may come by email, as an in-app notification, or as a prominent notice on the platform.

Continuing to use Koobo after the effective date means you accept the updated fees. If you do not want to continue under the new terms, you are free to stop listing.

Bookings already confirmed

The fees shown in your dashboard and payout breakdown for a booking apply to that booking. A rate change does not reach back and re-price reservations that were already confirmed before it took effect.

Promotions can change the amount, not the rate

Separately from any rate change, the value a commission is calculated on can vary. When a guest books using a creator referral code or a promotional discount, the booking price is reduced first, and both your payout and Koobo's commission are then calculated on that lower figure. The percentage has not changed; the amount it applies to has.

Where to check the current rate

The rates in force are always shown on the host fees page in this help center and in your payout breakdown. If you are ever unsure what applied to a particular booking, the breakdown for that booking is the authoritative record.
