Where can I find the cancellation policy?

Last updated: September 18, 2026

Every listing on Koobo has a cancellation policy set by its host, and you will see it at three points before you commit.

Before you book

The policy is shown on the listing page itself, alongside the price and availability. Worth reading before you get attached to a place, particularly if your dates are not certain.

At checkout

It is displayed again during checkout, before you enter payment details and confirm. This is the last moment to change your mind based on the terms.

After you book

The policy appears in your booking details inside your Koobo account, and in your confirmation email. This is the version that counts. If a host changes the policy on their listing later, your booking keeps the policy that was shown when you booked.

Policies vary by listing

There is no single Koobo-wide policy. One host may offer free cancellation up to 7 days before check-in, another may be non-refundable from the moment of booking. Two listings from the same host can differ.

If you are comparing options and flexibility matters to you, the policy is worth weighing alongside the price.

What the policy does not cover

Host cancellations. If the host cancels, you get a full refund regardless.

Force majeure. Genuinely extraordinary events beyond your control, such as a typhoon closing the airport or a government travel ban, are assessed separately and may result in a refund the policy would not normally allow. Evidence is required.

If you cannot find it

Open the booking in your Koobo account and check the booking details. If it is still not clear, email [email protected] with your booking reference and we will tell you exactly what applies.
