You can close your Koobo account at any time.
How
Follow the account termination instructions in your profile settings, or email [email protected] from the address on the account asking us to delete it.
What happens to your bookings
This is the part to think about before you act.
As a guest. Any future bookings are cancelled, and refunds are determined by each host's cancellation policy as though you had cancelled on that date. If you are past a deadline, that means no refund. If you have upcoming travel, complete it first.
As a host. Any confirmed future bookings are cancelled and those guests receive full refunds. Make sure you have been paid out for completed bookings before closing the account.
What is removed and what remains
Your access ends immediately and you will not be able to retrieve content stored in the account, so save anything you need first.
Some things persist:
- Reviews you wrote may stay visible, attributed to an anonymous user, because removing them would distort other people's ratings.
- Records we are required to keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons are retained. Our Privacy Policy sets out retention periods.
Coming back later
You will need to contact us rather than simply signing up again, particularly if the previous account was closed by us for cause.
If you just want a break
You do not have to delete anything to stop receiving marketing email. Adjust your communication preferences instead. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Before you go
If you are leaving because something went wrong, we would rather hear about it. Email [email protected]. We cannot fix what we do not know about, and a problem with one booking is usually fixable.
