Rentals and activities book the same way as accommodation, but there are a few things worth checking that do not apply to a stay.
Renting a motorbike or car
Before you book:
- Licence. You need a valid licence covering the vehicle type. Check whether your home licence is accepted and whether you need an International Driving Permit. Hosts can refuse to hand over a vehicle if you cannot produce the right documents, and that counts as a last-minute cancellation on your side.
- Insurance. Confirm your travel insurance covers motorbike riding. A great many policies do not.
- Deposit. Some hosts require a security deposit. It should be stated in the listing. Deposits are handled by the host, not collected by Koobo.
- Delivery. Many rentals can be delivered to your accommodation. Ask through Koobo messages.
Rentals on Koobo start from around ₱500 for 24 hours for a scooter, with cars from roughly ₱4,000 per day.
Booking an activity
Check what is actually included. Island-hopping trips vary a lot: some include lunch, entrance fees and gear, others are boat-only and you pay the rest on the day in cash.
Also check:
- The meeting point and time. Some trips leave early.
- Group or private. A shared boat is cheaper; a private one has more flexibility.
- What to bring. Reef-safe sunscreen, water, cash for fees.
- Minimum numbers. Some trips need a minimum group and may be rescheduled if it is not met.

Pay in full at checkout in pesos. Confirmation is instant.
Read the cancellation policy. Activities and rentals are often booked close to the date, and policies can be tighter than on accommodation.
On the day
Bring your booking reference. For vehicles, bring your licence and ID. Inspect a motorbike or car before you ride off, and photograph any existing damage with the timestamp on, so there is no argument about it when you return.
